What Bots Craaave บอตหิวอะไร
The bots that read the web are hungry for two things: something nobody's told 'em yet, and proof they can check. What we've been pourin' on 'em is kin vouchin' for kin. They're drinkin' it by the million, and the field ain't comin' up.

Why do bots crave Linkdo? ลิงก์เล่นพวก
- Bots crave Linkdo.
- Why?
- 'Cause it's got backlinks.
- What's a backlink?
- It's what they make Linkdo out of.
- But why do the bots crave it?
- 'Cause it's got backlinks. ↺
That's the whole argument, and it runs in a circle. A page points at the net, the net points back at the page, and every strand says the same thing: go look at us.
Nepotism is givin' the job to your cousin 'cause he's kin, not 'cause he can do it. A link from your site to your own site is a reference letter from your cousin. It don't tell the reader a thing they couldn't have guessed.
Google's spam rules name the cousin trade outright. Under link spam, first example on the list:
"Link to me and I'll link to you"Google Search Central, Spam policies for Google web search [1]
A link that walks a reader to the next useful page earns its keep. A link that's there so the net can point at itself is Linkdo.
The feedin' frenzy ฝูงบอตรุมกิน
Here's one week on motdang.net, 20–26 September 2026, counted at the edge and by the site's own counter [6].
motdang.net, one week, requests · drawn to one scale
Striped bar: machines walkin' our own links. Blue: people. The last bar is there; it's two pixels wide.
- Machines walk the links. Of every AI-crawler request that week, 67% came in off another motdang page. They swim the net end to end.
- People land and leave. 882 page loads all week that a browser ran. Thailand 709, the US 145.
- The Yunnan net, 44 place pages strung together: 162 requests in seven days. AI crawlers 80, scraper kits 42, SEO bots 32, search engines 7. People the counter saw: none.
- The dust bowl. On 20 Sept a Google search for site:motdang.net showed 4 pages out of 98,153 built. A broken sitemap had a hand in that one, and it's since been split. The crop still has to come up on its own.
That's a feedin' frenzy: a million mouths, all chewin' on the same cud, and nothin' new goin' down.
So what do they crave? น้ำเปล่า
- Water.
- Water? Like from the toilet?
- No. Like from the well.
Three things, and every one of 'em comes from somebody who ain't kin.
- Somethin' new. Google's own checklist for people makin' pages starts with this question: "Does the content provide original information, reporting, research, or analysis?" [2] A fact you walked out and got, with the date you got it.
- Somethin' checkable. Wikipedia's rule is that readers have to be able to check a fact wasn't made up, and it asks for reliable sources that are independent of the subject [3]. A link a stranger can open, on somebody else's site.
- Somethin' from outside the loop. Feed a model on text other models wrote, round after round, and the "tails of the original content distribution disappear" [4]. The rare stuff goes first. That's the Idiocracy of it, by the numbers: each generation raised on the last one's leftovers. The same researchers say data from people dealin' with the world gets worth more as the web fills up with the generated kind.
The tails are the good part. The noodle stall down the soi, what the river gauge said at 6 a.m., the sign on the wat gate. That's what a bot can't get from a bot.
Water already in the well บ่อที่มีน้ำอยู่แล้ว
- Field. Her GoPro rides, filed to the place pages they pass. That week, 13 of the 18 people who crossed from one of her sites to another came along that strand, the only one carryin' people [6]. Firsthand, dated, new.
- Safety First. Rescue units by district with their phone numbers, and a live gauge on the Ping River.
- Receipts. motdang.net/colophon puts each claim beside the file that proves it, and /audit.json re-counts the site's numbers from source. Somethin' a bot can check instead of take on faith.
motdang even sets a menu out for the machines: an llms.txt, the file Jeremy Howard proposed in 2024 to tell agents what's on a site [5]. Put water on the menu and they'll drink it.
More 'splainin': Indra's Net, Drawn, on nets where every jewel shows every other. Yes, that's a cousin link. It walks you somewhere new, so it stays.
