Allied Lyons, Baskin-Robbins' holding company, acquired the chain in 1990; its purchase of Mister Donut — founded by Rosenberg's former partner Harry Winokur — and the conversion of those shops drove North American growth the same year. Dawn Donuts went the same way.",
