Thai Roots collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of its own. Everything the app does happens on your device.
The app saves two things in your device's local browser storage, and only there:
Your sightings — the words you log, any note you write with them, and the date — and your review schedule, which tracks when each flashcard is next due. Both live on your device. Neither is transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes them; the app's export button lets you save a copy first.
It does not collect personal information. It does not require or offer an account. It does not use cookies for tracking. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It does not read your contacts, files, location, camera, or microphone. It requests no Android runtime permissions.
The dictionary is fully offline — all data ships inside the app. The app makes no network requests on its own. Two features open an external page in your browser only if you tap them: the tip link to Ko-fi, and reference links in the About panel. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you are there.
Tapping the speaker button passes a Thai word to your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. Depending on your device settings, Android's speech service may process that text on-device or via Google's speech servers — this is a function of your system settings, not of this app, and the app sends only the single dictionary word being spoken. You can avoid it entirely by not using the speaker buttons.
The share and export buttons hand data to whichever app you choose (a messaging app, your files, your email). Nothing is uploaded by Thai Roots itself; the destination is always your choice at the moment you tap.
The app is a reference work suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.

แอปนี้เป็นหนังสืออ้างอิงที่เหมาะกับทุกวัย และไม่เก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ใด รวมทั้งเด็กด้วย
