A loom weaves a Khmer silk hol (weft ikat, 1/2 twill: warp up where (warp + pick) mod 3 = 0) of gold humped cattle and the Khmer word គោ (cow) from a 72 × 104 plan, with per-pick misregistration giving the ikat blur. Toys: a four-shaft weaving draft (cloth[pick][warp] = tie-up[shaft(warp)][treadle(pick)]); tie-and-dye ikat in seven steps; the seven frieze groups (Conway's hop, step, sidle, spinning hop, spinning sidle, jump, spinning jump) from a drawable 7 × 7 motif; satin steps (k coprime to n, k not 1 or n-1; none exist for n = 4 or 6); formula cloth (taxicab diamond, naga zigzag, rings, xor, Pascal's triangle mod 2); a silkworm spinning in figure eights (about 900 m) and reeling; a Silk Road map with great-circle distances in camel days (30 km/day) and monsoon sea days (5 knots).
