A narrow slate valley south of Bonn, among the smallest German regions and the one that gives more of its ground to spätburgunder than any other.

The story Tradition

Steep terraces on a river that runs east-west, this far north, on dark stone that holds the day's heat. The July 2021 flood tore through the valley and its cellars; growers were still rebuilding years after.
