Brothers Mark and Michael Klebeck started Top Pot in February 2002. As of November 2023 it ran 17 cafés, though the donuts are made only at the downtown Seattle and Bellevue kitchens and trucked to the rest.
Its recipes are used for the donuts sold in more than 7,000 Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada, and by the Seattle grocer QFC. They are the official donut at Lumen Field.
