The story Cited · wp-seaside-donuts-bakery

Kong Eap, who came to the United States in the 1970s, opened the bakery in 1985 — one of many Cambodian-American bakeries that opened in the area after Ted Ngoy's shops showed the way. He later handed it to his son, Roger Eap, and went into hospitality. The family also took on Simone's Donuts in Long Beach, which his daughter Melissa Eap runs.

Since the 2020s the shop has drawn heavy attention from Asian-American creators on TikTok, which is a different kind of custom from the college students who kept it going for decades.
