A pitcher-and-television sports bar on Millersport Highway in Getzville, near the University at Buffalo's north campus, whose signature is a wing that goes through the fryer and then onto a grill. The Infatuation calls it the double dip. Orders arrive as sauce combinations — hot and barbecue, cajun and honey mustard — rather than a single heat.

Bon Appétit's Alex Delaney spent 2018 working through twelve Western New York wing rooms and ranked three. Elmo's came second, behind Gabriel's Gate and ahead of Mammoser's.

The double dip is what he was ranking. The Infatuation's David Neimanis, writing in February 2025, describes it: "Fried and sauced like usual, they're then coated in another layer of sauce and grilled, which locks in the smoky undertones while keeping the exterior delightfully crisp." Visit Buffalo's trail lists the combinations the second coat makes possible — "BBQ hot" and "Cajun honey mustard" among them.

Visit Buffalo records the room's other awards without naming years: it has been "rewarded with award winning wings and hamburgers from Gourmet magazine, The Buffalo News, and more."

Fry, sauce, sauce again, then grill. The second coat caramelises on the grill instead of sitting wet, which is the whole point of the method and the reason the order is named by two sauces rather than one heat.

Open Monday to Saturday as of September 2026, from 11:30am — noon on Saturday — and running to 2am most nights. Closed Sunday.
