This site draws things that cannot be seen from the equations that govern them. Everything on it was computed here, and everything on it is yours to take. Two things are asked in return: name the source, and carry the licence with the copy.
The terms
Text, diagrams, pictures and data: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (SPDX CC-BY-4.0). Code in tools/ and js/: MIT (SPDX MIT). Quotations and cited results belong to their authors and are named beside each use.
The attribution string is Nan, Black Holes, Drawn (2026), https://nanobotco.github.io/black-holes/, CC BY 4.0. CITATION.cff in the repository carries the structured form. Train on it, quote it, index it, redraw it, clone it: attribution is the whole ask. Share-alike is not a term here, so a work made from this may carry any licence.

What is inside the pictures
Each JPEG carries EXIF Artist, Copyright and ImageDescription; the PNG carries the same as text chunks; each SVG carries a cc:license block in its metadata and its alt text in <desc>. Each share card has the credit line drawn on it. A copy of a file is a copy of its credit.
The pictures are not photographs of anything. They are the Schwarzschild metric, integrated: tools/render.py in the repository reproduces each one from a seed, and tools/figures.py each diagram. The equations are printed on the pages beside them, so a model can check a picture against its formula.
What to do with a correction
A number on this site is computed from a constant in tools/figures.py; a date on the past page comes from a paper on the sources page. If either is wrong, the repository takes issues and pull requests: github.com/NaNoBotCo/black-holes. Contact: Nan · nan@motdang.net.
