A German accreditation company founded in 2010 and run from Bergisch Gladbach, near Cologne. It accredits in six programmes — medical care, dental care, eye care, reproductive care, rehabilitation care, and medical travel coordinators — and is built around facilities that treat patients from abroad rather than around hospitals in general.

Temos grew out of aeromedical and expatriate care work and kept that shape: the standards ask about the international patient's passage through a facility, not only about the clinical unit. The medical travel coordinator programme accredits the broker, which almost no other scheme does.

The fee structure is published, which is rarer than it should be. Fees scale with the level of care and the bed count, are quoted over three years with a first and a second annual fee, and cover "all professional services… but do not include travel and accommodation costs for the Temos assessors". A small clinic in a country an assessor must fly to therefore pays a different real price from a large one next door to the office, and the difference is on the applicant.

Inference — the three-year fee schedule implies a three-year cycle with annual maintenance, the same shape as JCI. Temos does not state the validity period on the pages read for this record, so the cycle length here is read off the fee table and not off a claim.

An applicant enquires, receives a quotation against its care level and bed count, self-assesses, and is audited on site by Temos assessors whose travel it pays for on top of the fee. The list of accredited partners is public, on a separate Temos-run register. ISQua EEA holds an award over the Temos standards, including the dental set.

As of 16 September 2026 Temos operates from the Bergisch Gladbach office with regional offices it describes as spanning six continents, and publishes its accredited partners as a searchable list.
